The verdict

TOPofART is the workshop end of this market. It paints "exclusively hand-painted in oils on linen canvas by European artists with academic training", it publishes 302 videos of paintings being made in its own studio, and it refuses on principle to grade its work: "We do not offer varying levels of quality like the low quality studios in the Far East." Its Starry Night costs $1,117 and comes in exactly one size, 29 by 36.3 inches, because that is the size Van Gogh painted it.

The score of 5.0 is not a judgement on the painting. It is a judgement on everything around it. The store will not frame a hand-painted reproduction at all. It offers no gallery wrap, only a 4 cm margin for someone else to stretch. Its return window is 14 days and reads "this policy is implemented entirely at our discretion and you must have a good reason for request for returning the item".
